DIY Frames
How many of you would love to update your frames and would even like to tackle a memory wall? If you are anything like me, you've been on Pinterest for HOURS looking up ideas. You also might be a Pottery Barn lover (like me) and checked out their memory wall prices and then you decided against it because of the price. I feel your pain!
I am here to tell you that there is a cheaper way to accomplish a memory wall and to have cheap frames that look like a million dollars. Here is what I did...
Hobby Lobby has some nice wooden frames. Just so you know, they are without the glass. I already had the paint for it. I used Annie Sloan chalk paint Paris Gray and dry washed white over the top of it. I did wax it to protect the frame. I wouldn't recommend Annie Sloan if you are on a budget since they are $40 for 1 litre. You could just buy spray paint at Hobby Lobby to save the money.
I ended up buying the hangers for the back because for me it is easier than using the built-in holes on each side of the frame. I hate extra measuring and making sure its level.
The 5x7 frame is $3.99 and the 8x10 is between $7 and $10!
So go and get some frames!
